The Delaware Association of Athletic Directors (DAAD) along with its sponsors Varsity Athletic, L and W Insurance and State Champs announce their 2018 State Scholarship Winners.
The Delaware Association of Athletic Directors along with its official scholarship sponsors Varsity Athletic, L and W Insurance and State Champs are pleased to announce that Michael Chen of Newark Charter High School and Christina Bourantas of Wilmington Christian School are the winners of the 6th Annual DAAD Scholarship Program.
Each student will receive a $500.00 award. Their scholarship applications have now been submitted to the Section 2 Level of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). Each student will now compete against six other regional state winners from Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. The winners from Section 2 will be awarded a $1,500.00 scholarship and their applications will move on to the National Level for a chance to win a $2,500.00 scholarship.
